HOW LONG HAVE YOU PRACTICED YOGA?
I have been practicing yoga for a little over a year now and I have loved every minute of it! It has completely changed my life, and in a few short months I will be a yoga teacher!
WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO YOGA? WHAT KEEPS YOU COMING BACK?
I stumbled across yoga through social media and I was absolutely mesmerized by the positivity and strength I saw it bring into people’s lives. Right away I knew I wanted to welcome this practice into my life, and I am constantly staying with it and am brought back by the growth and progress that I see within myself as a person and on my mat each and every day.
WHERE DO YOU FIND YOUR INSPIRATION?
I find a great deal of my inspiration within the people that I surround myself with. From the support and guidance of my love, my family and friends, and the family I have created at my yoga studio, I am always feeling inspired. Also, the progress within my practice from where I was a year ago to now is truly a source of inspiration for myself, as is the success and progress of others in their life journeys. Inspiration for me comes in all shapes and sizes; whether it is in those I surround myself with, myself, or a smile from a stranger, I am always finding inspiration.
WHAT FOOD COULD YOU EAT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?
I have a strong love for crepes and could absolutely picture a world where I ate only cookies and cream crepes for the rest of my life!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE?
“For what it’s worth... it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again,”
— F. Scott Fitzgerald
DOG, CAT, OR NEITHER?
Both! I am definitely a cat lady, but I cannot forget about my loving little pups!
WHAT IS SOMETHING UNIQUE YOU HAVE IN YOUR HOME?
I am a bit of an old soul, and so I have a record player in my home! I love taking trips to the record shop and building up my collection.
GYPSY SOUL OR HOMEBODY?
Though I am a homebody and love to be in my home, I truly have a gypsy soul and thrive off travel and adventure. I have come to live rather spontaneously and look forward to where my gypsy soul will take me in this big world.
WHEN YOU THINK OF “HOME”, WHAT SPECIFICALLY DO YOU THINK OF?
Whenever I think of home I think of the ones I love most. I think of curling up on the couch with my family, cooking in the kitchen with my love, my cats taking over my bed and my pups barking at the wind. Home for me is anywhere I may be with the people that matter the most.
WHAT IS ONE THING MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I have an obsession with filling every nook and cranny of my bedroom with plants. If there is an empty space on my window ledge or my dresser is looking a bit lonely you can bet that I will have a beautiful vase of flowers or a potted cactus there by the end of the day. I just love the vibes they create for my space!
